New Issue: Scotia sells $2.94 million autocallable contingent coupon buffer notes on Freeport

By Taylor Fox

New York, Aug. 20 – Bank of Nova Scotia priced $2.94 million of 0% autocallable contingent coupon buffer notes with memory coupon due Feb. 24, 2022 linked to the common stock of Freeport-McMoRan Inc., according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will pay a contingent quarterly coupon at an annual rate of 15.55% if the stock closes at or above its coupon barrier, 70% of its initial level, on the related quarterly observation date. Previously unpaid coupons will also be paid.

The notes will be called at par plus the coupon if the stock closes at or above its initial level on any quarterly observation date prior to the final valuation date.
