Altegris Fixed Income Long Short drops manager Joe Lu of MAST Capital

San Luis Obispo, Calif., July 10 – Northern Lights Fund Trust announced that Joe Lu of subadviser MAST Capital Management, LLC has been removed as a portfolio manager of the Altegris Fixed Income Long Short Fund, effective July 10, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

David Steinberg and Peter Reed of MAST Capital will remain as portfolio managers of the fund, as will Kevin Schweitzer of subadviser RockView Management, LLC; Anilesh Ahuja and James Nimberg of subadviser Premium Point Investments LP; and Eric Bundonis and Robert Murphy of Altegris Advisors, LLC, the La Jolla, Calif.-based investment adviser to the fund.

The fund seeks total return through current income and capital appreciation by investing at least 80% of its net assets in both long and short positions in fixed-income securities of domestic and foreign issuers or counterparties. The fund may invest in debt securities of any maturity or credit quality.
