Altegris Fixed Income Long Short adds three portfolio managers to team

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Feb. 13 – Northern Lights Fund Trust announced that David Steinberg, Peter Reed and Joe Lu have been added as portfolio managers of the Altegris Fixed Income Long Short Fund, effective Feb. 13, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The three are employees of MAST Capital Management, LLC, one of the subadvisers to the fund.

Existing portfolio managers Kevin Schweitzer of RockView Management, LLC, Anilesh Ahuja and James Nimberg of Premium Point Investments LP and David Steinberg, Peter Reed and Jo Lu of MAST will continue managing the fund, along with Eric Bundonis and Robert Murphy of Altegris Advisors, LLC, the La Jolla, Calif.-based investment adviser to the fund.

The fund seeks total return through current income and capital appreciation by investing at least 80% of its net assets in both long and short positions in fixed-income securities of domestic and foreign issuers or counterparties. The fund may invest in debt securities of any maturity or credit quality.
