Altegris Fixed Income Long Short Fund drops two portfolio managers

By Toni Weeks

San Luis Obispo, Calif., July 22 – Northern Lights Fund Trust announced in a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it has removed Jon Sundt and Allen Cheng from the portfolio management team of the Altegris Fixed Income Long Short Fund, effective July 21.

Matthew Osborne, Eric Bundonis, Kevin Schweitzer and Anilesh Ahuja remain portfolio managers of the fund.

Osborne and Bundonin are employees of the adviser, La Jolla, Calif.-based Altegris Advisors, LLC, while Schweitzer and Ahuja are employees of subadviser RockView Management, LLC.

The fund seeks to achieve total return through a combination of current income and capital appreciation. It invests, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its net assets in both long and short positions in fixed-income securities of domestic and foreign issuers or counterparties. The fund may invest in debt securities of any maturity or credit quality, including those rated below investment grade.
