Deutsche X-trackers Harvest China Bond ETF announces plans to launch

By Toni Weeks

San Luis Obispo, Calif., July 17 – DBX ETF Trust announced in an N-1A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission its plans to offer a new exchange-traded fund that is designed to provide exposure to the price fluctuation and performance of bonds denominated in renminbi and issued or distributed within mainland People’s Republic of China.

The Deutsche X-trackers Harvest China Bond ETF will seek investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of an as yet unnamed index, which will include China bonds of varying maturities that have been issued by, among others, central and local government bodies, governmental agencies, banks and other financial institutions and corporations. The index may also include central bank notes and short-term notes traded in the inter-bank and exchanges market.

Zhixi Guo and Xiaodong Sun, each an employee of subadviser Harvest Global Investments Ltd., will comprise the portfolio management team.

Shares of the ETF will trade on the NYSE Arca. The ticker symbol has not yet been set.

There will be no shareholder fees. The management fee and total annual fund operating expenses have not yet been determined.

New York-based DBX Advisors LLC, an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG, will serve as the investment adviser.
