S&P rates Ecobank Nigeria notes B-

Standard & Poor’s said it assigned a B- issue credit rating to the limited-recourse participation notes to be issued by the Netherlands-based EBN Finance Co. BV, a special-purpose entity of Ecobank Nigeria Ltd. (B+/negative/B).

The ratings on Ecobank Nigeria reflect S&P’s view of the bank’s overall creditworthiness, as shown by S&P’s stand-alone credit profile assessment of b+.
