Ecobank Nigeria readies $300 million international offering of notes

Chicago, Feb. 1 – Ecobank Nigeria Ltd. announced that it plans to sell $300 million of senior notes (//B-), according to a press release.

The notes will be distributed via Rule 144A and Regulation S.

Proceeds will provide medium-term funding and help enhance the capacity of the bank to support international trade and service in Africa.

The notes will be issued via a Dutch special purpose funding vehicle and will be listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The issuer is a subsidiary of Ecobank Transnational Inc., parent company of the Ecobank Group, a leading pan-African banking group with operations in 34 countries. Ecobank has headquarters in Lome, Togo.
