Non-brokered offering slated to finance general corporate purposes

Knoxville, Tenn., July 8 – Abitibi Royalties Inc. said it plans a C$2 million non-brokered private placement of stock with Rob McEwen.
The company will sell 800,000 common shares at C$2.50 apiece, which is identical to the July 7 closing share price.
Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
The Val-Dor, Quebec, company owns and manages royalties.
