MacKeyser: Court OKs sale of five groups of assets totaling $925,000

New York, Sept. 3 – MacKeyser Holdings, LLC received court approval on five separate asset sales related to individual remaining physician practice locations along with equipment and miscellaneous inventory associated with each, according to separate Sept. 3 orders with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

As previously reported, the auction took place on Aug. 26.

Qualified bids for the assets were not subject to any due diligence or financing contingency, but a deposit equal to 5% of the purchase price was required.

Prevailing bidders for the assets are as follows:

• Wisconsin Vision, Inc. purchased two groups of assets located in Indianapolis and Anderson, Ind., for $10,000 and $50,000 respectively;

• Larry R. Moorman, M.D. purchased assets located in Tifton, Ga., for $60,000;

• Hearing Management Systems, LLC purchased assets in Flint, Mich., and Saginaw, Mich., for a combined price of $360,000; and

• Dr. Joseph Kurstin purchased assets located in Miami for $445,000.

All of the sales are to close by Sept. 4.

Las Vegas-based MacKeyser Holdings and operating affiliates American Optical Services, LLC and Exela Hearing Services, LLC manage integrated eye care and hearing systems providers. The company filed for bankruptcy on June 20 under Chapter 11 case number 14-11550.
