Fitch rates Zielona Gora BBB-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned the Polish city of Zielona Gora long-term foreign- and local-currency ratings of BBB- and a national long-term rating of A-(pol).

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect the city's satisfactory operating performance, moderate debt levels, healthy debt coverage ratio and a diversified economy with a relatively strong local tax base, Fitch said.

The ratings take into account a projected increase in the city's direct and indirect debt, as well as likely flat taxes and higher current expenditure due to local elections, the agency said.
