Former OCZ Technology seeks one-month extension of plan filing period

By Kali Hays

New York, June 27 – ZCO Liquidating Corp. asked for a 30-day extension of its exclusive plan of reorganization filing period, according to a Friday motion with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

If approved, the filing period will be extended through July 30 from June 30.

The company said its current filing period “proved to be insufficient to file and confirm a meaningful Chapter 11 plan” and serves as a “distraction and disruption” to obtain confirmation of a plan, according to the motion.

As previously reported, the company’s disclosure statement related to its plan of liquidation was approved by the court June 12.

ZCO was formerly OCZ Technology Group, Inc., a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based producer of computer memory and components that filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 2. The Chapter 11 case number is 13-13126.
