Former OCZ Technology looks to hire Boates as CRO to wind down case

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Feb. 5 - ZCO Liquidating Corp., formerly OCZ Technology Group, Inc., requested court approval to hire Timothy D. Boates of RAS Management Advisors, LLC as its chief restructuring officer, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

In addition to providing Boates as CRO, RAS has agreed to provide temporary staff to ZCO.

According to the motion, the company's executive officers resigned after the closing of the sale of substantially all of its assets.

As a result, OCZ's board of directors asked Boates to serve as CRO to oversee the wind-down of the company's businesses and its Chapter 11 case.

A hearing is scheduled for March 13.

OCZ, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based producer of computer memory and components, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 2. The Chapter 11 case number is 13-13126.
