S&P affirms Slovakia’s ZSE

S&P said it affirmed its long-term issuer credit rating on Zapadoslovenska energetika AS (ZSE) at A-.

The outlook remains stable.

The agency also affirmed the A- issue rating on ZSE's senior unsecured debt.

S&P said the affirmation follows ZSE's successful refinancing of its €315 million debut bond maturing in October, which has lowered the group's total debt costs.

“This refinancing, coupled with the strong prospects for ZSE's activities in its area of operation, will enhance the company's financial performance, in our view,” the agency said in a news release.
