Zapadoslovenska energetika calls €315 million 4% notes due 2023

By Mary-Katherine Stinson

Lexington, Ky., March 20 – Zapadoslovenska energetika AS (ZSE) will fully redeem its outstanding €315 million 4% notes due 2023 (ISIN: XS0979598462) at par plus interest on April 17, according to a notice.

The redemption was triggered by the determination that the issuer would be obligated to pay additional amounts because of a change in Slovak taxation law.

Following redemption, the notes will be canceled and no further interest payments will be made.

The notes were issued under the company’s €1 billion euro medium-term note program.

The issuer is a Bratislava, Slovakia-based electricity utility company.
