S&P affirms Zacatecas

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed its mxA+ national-scale rating on the State of Zacatecas, United Mexican States (BBB+/stable/A-2 foreign, A+/stable/A-1 local currency sovereign credit ratings, mxAAA/stable national-scale rating).

The outlook remains stable.

According to S&P, the rating reflects Zacatecas' stable financial profile, supported mainly by a significant flow of resources from the federal government and by a prudent financial policy, including low direct debt and an adequate liquidity position.

The state's administrative practices and transparency mechanisms are strengthening, the agency noted.
