Young Broadcasting records $3.11 million net loss for February

Pittsburgh, March 31 - Young Broadcasting, Inc. reported a $3.11 million net loss for February on $11.72 million in net operating revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The February loss narrowed from the $4.76 million net loss posted for January on $11.47 million in net operating revenues.
Young Broadcasting had $23.96 million of cash at Feb. 28, up from $22.26 million at the end of January.
New York-based Young Broadcasting owns 10 television stations and the national representation firm Adam Young Inc. The company filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 13, 2009 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-10645.
