Seidman nominates three to Yardville board, ruling states annual meeting must take place July 12

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., March 23 -Yardville National Bancorp investor Lawrence B. Seidman, manager of Seidman and Associates, LLC, nominated fellow shareholders Patrick Robinson, Neal Axelrod and Dennis Pollack for election to Yardville's board of directors in opposition to the company's slate of directors.

In addition, Seidman again asked for the most current shareholder lists, according to a letter to the company included as part of a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The filing also stated that according to a March 20 legal opinion, Yardville must conduct its annual meeting on July 12 and not on August 16 as it had planned.

On March 20, Seidman sent a letter to Yardville asking the company to declassify the board for shareholder approval at the next annual meeting.

Seidman reported owning 993,435 shares of Yardville common stock, or 8.75% of the outstanding common stock.

Yardville National Bancorp, based in Hamilton, N.J., operates as the bank holding company for the Yardville National Bank.
