Moody's upgrades WPP

Moody's Investors Service said it upgraded the senior unsecured long-term debt ratings of WPP plc and its rated subsidiaries to Baa2 from Baa3 and the short-term rating for WPP CP Finance to P-2 from P-3.

The outlook is stable.

Moody's said the upgrade reflects its assumption that WPP can build on its solid operating performance in 2011 to deliver continued revenue growth broadly in line with guidance.
