New York, March 24 - The World Bank announced Tuesday it plans to issue three-year global notes this week, a market source said.

The offering will be a benchmark-sized issue of fixed-rate notes and will price either Wednesday or Thursday, a source close to the deal said. It is being run off the high-grade corporate syndicate desks.

Bookrunners are Citigroup Global Markets Inc., HSBC Securities, J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. and RBS Greenwich Capital.

The international financial institution aids developing countries and is based in Washington, D.C.
