S&P affirms Actavis

Standard & Poor’s said it affirmed its BBB- corporate credit rating on Actavis plc. The outlook is stable.

“The rating affirmation reflects the benefit to Actavis' business risk from the Allergan acquisition, with a modest impact to financial risk,” said S&P credit analyst David Peknay in a news release.

“The company’s acquisition strategy has diversified its portfolio, added blockbusters to the portfolio, elevated its margin profile, and boosted its pipeline. For these reasons we revised of our view of Actavis’ business risk profile to ‘strong’ from ‘satisfactory.’”
