Moody's assigns Woori Investment Baa1, P-2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa1 long-term issuer rating and P-2 short-term rating to Woori Investment & Securities Co., Ltd.

The outlook is stable.

This is the first time Moody's has assigned ratings to Woori Investment.

"The Baa1/P-2 ratings reflect the franchise value of the company, given its status as an important member of Woori Finance Holdings (A2), one of the largest financial holding groups in Korea and its market position as one of the biggest securities companies in the country," said May Yan, a Moody's vice president/senior credit officer.

"The ratings also reflect the adequate state of its financials as well as the potential for business growth and group synergies in view of regulatory changes which will significantly broaden the scope of activities for securities companies," added Yan.
