S&P: 6 Korea banks view to stable

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlooks to stable from negative on its long-term issuer credit ratings of six Korean banks.

The bank's ratings also were affirmed.

The outlook revisions reflect S&P's expectation that the steady economic recovery, strengthened capitalization and recovering net interest margins should provide headroom against potential asset quality deterioration from leveraged households and SME segments.

Kookmin Bank's senior unsecured rating was affirmed at A, subordinated rating at A- and junior subordinated rating at BBB+.

Woori Bank's senior unsecured rating was affirmed at A-, subordinated rating at BBB+ and preferred stock at BBB.

Shinhan Bank's senior unsecured rating was affirmed at A-, subordinated rating at BBB+, junior subordinated rating at BBB and preferred stock rating at BBB.

Hana Bank's senior unsecured rating was affirmed at A- and subordinated rating at BBB+.

Hana Funding Ltd.'s preference stock was affirmed at BBB.

Woori Finance Holdings Co. Ltd.'s outlook was revised to stable.

Shinhan Card Co. Ltd.'s senior unsecured rating was affirmed at BBB+.
