Alpine Group buys 417,853 shares of Wolverine Tube

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 9 - Wolverine Tube, Inc. investor Alpine Group, Inc. bought 417,853 shares for a total of $250,711.80, or $0.60 per share, on Sept. 5, according to an amended schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investor beneficially owns 36,651,914 shares, or 49%, of the company's stock.

Wolverine Tube is a Huntsville, Ala., provider of copper and copper alloy tube, fabricated products and metal joining products.
