Moody’s upgrades Wrigley to A2

Moody's Investors Service said it upgraded Wm Wrigley Jr. Co.’s long-term senior unsecured ratings to A2 from Baa1.

The outlook is positive.

Moody’s said the upgrade anticipates that the previously announced combination of the Mars, Inc. global confectionary business along with certain other of Mars' international operations with Wrigley's legacy business will be completed without increasing debt at Wrigley.
