Citigroup plans contingent buffered notes tied to WisdomTree Japan ETF

San Luis Obispo, Calif., May 5 – Citigroup Inc. plans to price capped contingent buffered equity notes due Nov. 11, 2016 linked to the WisdomTree Japan Hedged Equity fund, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any fund gain, up to a maximum return of 60%.

Investors will receive par if the fund falls by up to 20% and will be fully exposed to any loses if the fund falls by more than 20%.

The final fund level will be the average of the closing fund levels on the five trading days ending Nov. 8, 2016.

Citigroup Global Markets LLC is the agent.

The notes (Cusip: 17298CAU2) will price May 8.
