Moody's gives A1 to Wis. Public Power bonds

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A1 rating to Wisconsin Public Power Inc.'s $240 million of power supply system revenue bonds, series 2008 A.

The outlook is stable.

Wisconsin Public Power has not made a final determination about the use of bond insurance, Moody's said.

Sale of the bonds is expected on April 21.

Moody's also said it affirmed the A1 rating on Wisconsin Public Power's $400.7 million of outstanding parity debt, about $192 million of which will be refunded with the proceeds of the current offering.
