Wisconsin Power & Light plans to conduct sale of debentures

Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 2 – Wisconsin Power & Light Co. is selling debentures, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The debentures have a make-whole call and then a par call.

BofA Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs & Co. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC are the bookrunners. MUFG, U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. and Williams Capital Group LP are the co-managers.

Proceeds will be used to reduce commercial paper and for general corporate purposes.

The Madison, Wis.-based public utility distributes electricity and natural gas to central and southern Wisconsin.
