DBRS rates Wintrust A (low)

DBRS said it assigned ratings to Wintrust Financial Corp., including a long-term issuer rating of A (low) and a short-term issuer rating of R-1 (low).

At the same time, DBRS said it assigned ratings to its banking subsidiaries, including Wintrust Bank (the bank), its primary operating entity, which has a long-term issuer rating of A. The trend for all ratings is stable.

The intrinsic assessment for the bank is A, while its support assessment is SA1. The company’s support assessment is SA3 and its long-term issuer rating is positioned one notch below the bank’s IA.

DBRS said the ratings reflect Wintrust’s entrenched banking franchise within the Chicago and Milwaukee metro areas, as well as its solid balance sheet fundamentals.
