Moody's may cut Wilmington Trust

Moody's Investors Service said it placed the long-term ratings of Wilmington Trust Corp. and its operating bank subsidiary, Wilmington Trust Co., on review for possible downgrade.

The agency said that Wilmington Trust has an A2 long-term issuer rating, adding that Wilmington Trust Co. is rated B- for bank financial strength and A1 for long-term deposits.

The rating agency said that the review will focus on the company's ability to generate tangible capital in the near- to intermediate-term.
