Fitch gives BBB to Williams Partners notes

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BBB rating to Williams Partners LP's proposed offering of senior notes.

The outlook is stable.

Proceeds will be used to repay outstanding commercial paper, to fund capital expenditures and for general partnership purposes.

Fitch said the action considers Williams Cos., Inc.’s proposed acquisition of the remaining 50% general partner interest and 55 million limited partner units in Access Midstream Partners and eventual plans to merge Williams Partners and Access Midstream.
