Fitch assigns BBB to Williams Cos. notes

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BBB rating to the Williams Cos., Inc.'s planned offering of senior unsecured notes.

The rating is in line with the ratings on Williams’ outstanding senior unsecured notes.

The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The outlook is stable.
