William Blair expands San Francisco office with Prendergast addition

Chicago, Aug. 6 - William Blair & Co. said that Patrick Prendergast joined the firm's San Francisco investment banking office as a member of the equity capital markets team.

Prendergast will also manage the firm's convertible securities business and cover West Coast financial sponsors.

He was a managing director in equity capital markets at Royal Bank of Canada and was a founding partner of debt capital markets at Thomas Weisel Partners. Before that, he was a managing director, co-head of convertible securities at Deutsche Bank in New York and a director in debt securities at Robertson, Stephens in San Francisco.

Prendergast has a bachelor of science from the University of Pennsylvania and a master of business administration from the Wharton School of Business.
