Moody's lowers Wienerberger CFR

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the Ba2 instrument ratings assigned to the senior unsecured bonds issued by Wienerberger AG and the B1 rating assigned to €500 million of hybrid capital, as well as the probability of default rating of Ba2-PD.

Concurrently Moody's downgraded Wienerberger's corporate family rating to Ba3 from Ba2.

The outlook remains negative.

Moody's said the downgrade of the corporate family rating was prompted by the application of the recently published revised methodology for assigning debt and equity treatment to hybrid securities of speculative-grade non financial companies with a corporate family rating of Ba1 or below.
