Fitch affirms ratings of Wielkopolska

Fitch Ratings said it has affirmed Poland's region of Wielkopolska's national long-term rating at AA(pol) with a stable outlook.

The rating is based on the region of Wielkopolska's excellent budgetary performance, healthy debt ratios and high liquidity.

The rating also takes into account its high and growing expenditure on regional railway transport, highly indebted health care sector and an urgent need to restructure both sectors on a national level.
