New Issue: Morgan Stanley prices $3.08 million buffered PLUS on commodities basket

San Diego, March 30 - Morgan Stanley priced $3.08 million of 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due March 28, 2013 linked to a basket of five equally weighted commodities, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The underlying commodities are corn, soybeans, sugar, wheat and palm oil.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times any basket gain, up to a maximum payment of $1,300 per $1,000 principal amount.
Investors will receive par if the basket falls by up to 15% and will be exposed to any decline beyond 15%.
