Fitch gives Westpac bond AAA

Fitch Ratings said it assigned Westpac Banking Corp.'s €1.25 billion of series 2023-C2 fixed-rate mortgage covered bonds an AAA rating.

The AAA rating is based on the issuer rating, various uplifts granted to the bank’s covered-bond program and overcollateralization protection, Fitch said.

The outlook is stable.
