Moody's lifts Wabtec notes

Moody's Investors Service said it upgraded the rating of Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corp.'s $150 million of senior unsecured notes due July 2013 to Baa3 from Ba1.

In a related action, Moody's withdrew the following ratings: corporate family rating at Ba1; probability of default rating at Ba1-PD; and speculative grade liquidity rating at SGL-2.

The outlook is stable.

Moody's said the Baa3 senior unsecured rating reflects the company's demonstrated ability to maintain a strong competitive position and operating performance through the business cycle.
