Moody’s rates Westfield issuer rating A3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A3 issuer rating and a short-term issuer rating of P-2 to Westfield Corp.

Westfield's assets comprise the non-Australian/New Zealand assets of the former Westfield Group (rating withdrawn).

The outlook is stable.

"Westfield's A3 rating reflects the group's strong market position in the U.S and U.K and which is underpinned by high quality assets," Moody's vice president and senior credit officer Maurice O'Connell said in a news release. "Westfield has a well-established operational track record through the various stages of the property cycle in key mature global property markets."
