Western Asset Intermediate fund adds Eichstaedt to portfolio team

San Diego, Sept. 4 - Western Asset Funds, Inc. added Carl L. Eichstaedt to the portfolio management team of the Western Asset Intermediate Bond Fund, effective Sept. 1, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Eichstaedt joins existing portfolio managers Stephen A. Walsh and Julien Scholnick in managing the portfolio.

New York-based Legg Mason Partners Fund Advisor, LLC is the fund's investment manager.
