Wells Fargo to price leveraged upside, buffered downside notes on S&P

Norfolk, Va., Dec. 14 – Wells Fargo & Co. plans to price 0% equity index-linked securities due December 2017 linked to the S&P 500 index with leveraged upside participation to a cap and buffered downside with multiplier, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 150% of any gain in the index, up to a cap that will be set at pricing.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 20% and will lose 1.25% for each 1% decline beyond 20%.
Wells Fargo Securities, LLC is the agent.
The notes will price and settle in December.
The Cusip number is 94986RC58.
