Wells plans enhanced growth securities on iShares MSCI EM index fund

New York, Sept. 7 - Wells Fargo & Co. plans to price 0% enhanced growth securities due April 2014 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets index fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.25 times any fund gain, subject to a maximum return of 38% to 44% that will be set at pricing. Investors will receive par if the fund falls by 20% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that it declines beyond 20%.

The notes (Cusip: 94986RAY7) will settle in October.
