Wells Fargo to price enhanced participation notes linked to five indexes

Seattle, Oct. 10 - Wells Fargo & Co. plans to price an offering of 0% enhanced participation securities due November 2011 with partial principal protection linked to a basket of indexes, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket will include the Dow Jones Euro Stoxx 50 index with a 50% weight, the Nikkei 225 index with a 25% weight, the S&P/ASX 200 index with a 10% weight and the Korea Stock Price, Amex Hong Kong 30 and MSCI Taiwan indexes, each with a 5% weight.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any basket gain multiplied by a participation rate that is expected to be 110% to 120% and will be determined at pricing. Investors will receive par if the basket declines by 15% or less and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 15%.

Wells Fargo Securities, LLC will be the underwriter.
