Wedbush: Edwards to head retail municipal trading for private clients
By Tali Rackner
Norfolk, Va., Aug. 19 – Wedbush Securities announced Paul M. Edwards as head of retail municipal trading for private client services, according to a press release.
Bringing 17 years of experience to the firm, Edwards was previously the head of distressed municipal trading for R.W. Smith & Associates. His past experience also includes fixed-income trading and sales at Merrill Lynch and Prudential Securities.
“Paul’s hire further strengthens the firm’s efforts in continuing to build on relationships with retail brokers and the trading desk,” Dru Gilbert, vice president and office manager of Wedbush’s Sacramento and Roseville offices, said in the release.
“Having known Paul and his business for the past 6 years, he brings an admirable reputation, integrity, and fair practices to Wedbush and the PCS Municipal Trading division. We are delighted to have him join us as a colleague, and for the value he will bring to Wedbush and Private Client Services.”
Edwards will be based in the financial services and investment firm’s corporate office in Los Angeles.
