Wedbush creates municipal markets division, makes several hires

Cleveland, Nov. 30 - Wedbush Securities announced the merger of its public finance and municipal securities departments into the municipal markets division.
In 2010 the division made several hires, and Wedbush opened offices in Minneapolis; Boston; Boise, Idaho; Salt Lake City; and Charlotte, N.C.
Hires include Peter Auzers as manager of municipal securities trading/underwriting and Jim Dolan as managing director and manager of municipal sales.
Auzers and Dolan will lead the municipal markets division alongside Richard DeProspo, manager of public finance. Tom Hislop and Jim Stricklin will continue to manage municipals and public finance in Arizona.
"Our municipals practice is a key growth-driver for Wedbush's Capital Markets Group," Gary Wedbush, head of capital markets, said in a news release. "The formation of a municipal markets division will further facilitate this growth and the ability to provide enhanced services to our issuing and investing clients."
Other hires include 30-year veteran Mitch Asch as senior vice president of institutional sales and manager of distressed securities/special situations (Boston); Jeff Molinari as senior vice president of institutional sales (New York); Peter Mayo as senior vice president of institutional fixed income sales (Charlotte, N.C.); Dennis Dicicco as vice president of institutional sales (Boston); and Sue Pease as managing director and director of fixed income operations (Minneapolis).
Senior professional additions were also made to the public finance department in the West including Ron Lehr as senior vice president (Portland, Ore.); Jim Wrigley as senior vice president (Boise, Idaho); Bruce Allred as senior vice president (Salt Lake City) and Michael Patrick George as managing director (San Francisco).
