Fitch rates Waterbury, Conn., pension bonds BBB+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BBB+ rating to the city of Waterbury, Conn.'s approximately $320 million general obligation pension obligation bonds (POBs), series 2008. The bonds were expected to sell via negotiation on March 28.

Proceeds will be used to finance a portion of the city's unfunded pension obligation.
