Waste Services investor Westbury reports 27.2% stake

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 31 - A group of Waste Services, Inc. investors led by Westbury (Bermuda) Ltd. reported the purchase of 473,393 shares of the company's stock between Oct. 27 and Nov. 5 for a total ownership interest of 27.2%.

The shares were priced from $5.67 to $6.30 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Between Oct. 27 and Nov. 5, Westbury bought 285,457 shares of the company's stock at prices from $5.39 to $6.31 each, a prior SEC filing said.

Westbury beneficially owns 12,535,979 shares of the Burlington, Ont.-based solid waste management services company.
