Moody's: Waste Management stable

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the senior unsecured debt ratings of Waste Management, Inc. at Baa3 and changed the outlook to stable from positive.

Moody's said the outlook revision considers that volume and price growth expectations in the waste sector are unlikely to contribute to sufficient improvement in financial metrics to warrant a near term upgrade in Waste Management's rating.

Moody's revised its industry outlook for the solid waste sector to stable from positive in August because growth expectations for the sector had moderated.
