Fitch affirms Waste Management

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the ratings of Waste Management, Inc. as follows: issuer default rating at BBB, senior unsecured credit facility at BBB and senior unsecured debt at BBB.

The outlook is stable.

According to Fitch, the ratings for Waste Management reflect the company's leading position in the waste services industry, continuing margin growth, manageable debt load and favorable industry fundamentals, tempered somewhat by a capital allocation strategy focused on share repurchases and acquisitions, likely keeping the company's debt load near its current level.
