Washington Gas aims to conduct offering of medium-term notes due 2046

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 13 – Washington Gas Light Co. is planning to price an offering of medium-term notes, series K, according to a 424B3 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will mature on Sept. 15, 2046. They will have a make-whole call until March 15, 2046 and will be callable at par after that date.

Wells Fargo Securities, LLC and MUFG Securities Americas Inc. are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used to retire short-term debt primarily used to fund the company’s capital expenditure program and for general corporate purposes.

Washington Gas is a Washington, D.C.-based natural gas utility.
