State of Washington to price $50.8 million COPs Jan. 21

New York, Jan. 13 - The state of Washington plans to sell $50.8 million in series 2009A certificates of participation on Jan. 21, according to a preliminary official statement released Tuesday.

The COPs (Aa2) will be sold on a competitive basis with DashenMusselman Inc. as the financial adviser.

The certificates are due 2010 to 2029.

Proceeds will be used to finance or refinance the acquisition or construction of buildings for four state and six local agencies.
